Les Trois Mousquetaires Microbrewery was founded in June 2004 following the takeover of Express-Broue, a small brewery located in Saint-Eustache. The three new owners, former colleagues at Imperial Tobacco, decided to become entrepreneurs after the factory closed. Since they all lived on the South Shore of Montreal, they relocated the business to Brossard. Initially, the microbrewery offered a blond beer (D’Artagnan) and a red beer (Aramis) brewed with lager yeast, which was uncommon in Quebec. Over the years, the company began offering high-end beers with complex flavors, primarily German styles. In 2008, Les Trois Mousquetaires developed three different beer ranges with names based on their color or style. The company also began using Quebec malts in its recipes. Since then, the microbrewery has seen steady growth, distributing its products at over 500 outlets across Quebec and exporting to other countries.
